Red is for passion

I like things that make my body look good, that makes my shapes look round, and the rest look flat. This is one of those outfits. The black makes it simple to wear, and makes you look slimmer. Then the red is just sexy, and because it's tight it makes my bum look as good as J.Lo's. If only it looked that way without the skirt on ;)

My favorite songs

A new subject on my blog. I always like to hear other peoples favorite songs, so I figured I'd make a regular post about this.

I'm starting out with one of my two favorite bands: Queen. They are without a doubt the best band to have ever excisted. They KNEW how music had to sound. Pure emotion, great lyrics.

This song I'm about to post is maybe one of the most know, but most underrated songs by Queen. It's 'We Are The Champions'. This song is always played in sports when championship is reached, but honoustly. It's song about victory and persistance in life itself. It's so powerful. Freddie sings this song with so much emotion, it made me cry when it came on my Ipod a few months ago, and when I listened really close to it.

It's one of my alltime favorite songs. Seriously, listen to the lyrics, it's such an empowering song for me:

My holiday buys! Accessoires

I was looking for some thights, polkadot ones actually. But I thought paying €8 at H&M was a little pricey. Then I saw these at Primark, and I actually think I love these more. They are black in front, and in the back they are polkadot!! How amazing is that? It's kinda like the fun and cheap version of Chanel two-colour thights! I like things that are crazy, and these are genius! I hope I can manage keeping them in one piece for a while!

So I couldn't really get my leg in the right position to take a good picture of my new boots. It now looks like I have legs the size of a century old three, but that's ok. I had been on the search for winter boots, since I descovered my love for boots last winter (it was SOOOOO cold). I never loved them before, so it was an epiphany how many nice boots there are (and how expensive they are!). Thing is: I'm picky! If one little thing of the shoe isn't right, it's not coming home with me. But these beauties.. I fell in love. They are almost knee high, beige, suede, AND high heeled. I CANNOT wait to wear them. For a better look, look at my other holiday buys post, I wear them in the first picture. I also bought a bag in nearly the same colour :)

I'm extremely picky when it comes to bags. I just am. Probably even pickier than with shoes. I needed a good handbag, that I could take to school, and to sleepovers with my BF. My old turqoise one is falling apart, and I feel bad wearing it down even more. This bag.. it's so pretty. The colours are the same as in the picture, and it's so close to the colour of my boots it's amazing. The gold, the details, the chiqueness but simplicity, I liked it. Also that it has two ways to carry it, is really practical. The only negative point was that it can't carry my laptop, for that it's too small, but all my school supplies fit it, so that's a plus :). It's from Primark again.

The details

Last summer I had to say goodbye to some black flats. So I had been on the search for a pair of plain black flats to wear with anything. And they had to be cheap too, because I don't feel like spending fifteen euro on a pair of plain flats. When I stumbled upon these, I couldn't resist. Even though they are a tad bit small, they were only €2, so I had to bring them home with me. They're from Primark.

If there's one particular kind of earrings I like, it has to be pearls. Somehow they bring out a certain beauty in my face which I can't quite explain. Maybe it's because my skin is pretty fair, and I'm blonde with blue eyes. I just think they look good. About the other two pairs of earrings: The left ones remember me of my aunt. She always used to wear blouses like the one I just bought, and used to wear earrings like these. I thought that was so.. professional. So I'm kinda going for that look too, as I like to play dress up. The other ones remind me of some great bling earrings I used to have. They are a lot like these only square. I used to wear those eeeeeeeeeevery day and they looked so good on me, untill my sister wore them and lost one of them. I was devastated really. These are a good replacement :). H&M.

Ps. I also bought a black and white sportsbra at Primark, but I figured that didn't need documenting ;)

My holiday buys! The clothes.

O my. Seriously. I just looked at my picture, and I thought: I'm slim! Trust me, that usually doesn't happen. I'm more the: O my, I'm fat-kinda thinking girl. It's exhausting, so I was surprised to see how good this looked on me, ha. Everything in this picture is new. This top is Zara, I bought it in sale for only €4! Can you believe? I look so polished with my hair up in that thing. The jeans are new too, H&M sale, €10. I need to go have it made shorter, but the fit and the colour is perfect! More about the boots later! Ha, by the way, look at my sisters toes below in the pictures. Don't you just love her nailpolish? Also H&M btw.

I look so bussinessy in this blouse don't I? I have ALWAYS wanted a blouse like this, with the exact same design (below)as this one. With the white collar and all. I feel so chique. H&M €15. I loooooooooove the jeans. They love my thighs I see. Thank you God of Jeans for answerring my prayers!

The pattern of the blouse. White with light blue stripes :)

The accessoires are in one of my next posts!

So many updates, so little time.

A while back but still. I liked to mix the black with a jacket in a bright colour. And I am still in love with my studded high heels, which I can mix perfectly with my waistbelt :)

Lo Bosworth

My favorite castmember of The Hills (more about that later), has become Lo in the last few episodes. Why? She's most similar to me. She's sweet, smart, classy, and looks nice. I like her style very much, and she actually seems REAL to me. Besides, she's just as much in love as I am, which I like to see. (Not some phoney, omygawd I don't think I should call back-relationships)

Recently I've stumbled across The Lo Down, her website. I really like to sit down and read it, because she comes across as a nice fun girl, with good advices :). Thought I would pass it on for ya! She's also coming out with a book, but I don't think I will buy that one...

Ps. About the Hills finale: who else was dissapointed a bit? I did not believe Kristin would go to EUROPE for one bloody second. Because she never mentioned WHERE in Europe she was going. Europe is NOT a county, it has over twenty countries.. so there's quite a lot to choose from. I never believed she would go, and I hated the plot line with Brody (one of those fake relationships mentioned above). I did like the storylines of Steph, Audrina and Lo though :). I was sad to not see Heidi return, that kinda ended weirdly.

Just quickly checking in!

Sooooo, how busy was I? And still am... But it's been GREAT, and I love every second of it.

Firstly I went to Italy for a little more than two weeks with my boyfriend. The true test of relationship ;). And it was... fantastic. We fit perfectly, and we had a lovely time. The temperature was up up in italy, and so we spent a lot of our time either in Lake Garda, our pool, or just chilling in a city, or reading books (we are both book-freaks). It was amazing! I cannot wait for next year!

Then I was home working and chilling with the boyfriend for three days, before I (alone!) hopped on a plane to Barcelona, Spain! Seriously, before I go any further, respect for flying alone, please! I have a fear of flying... Anyways, my family was already there, so I was welcomed with arms wide open. We stayed there for 1,5 weeks. The weather was nicer, not that hot, it was lovely :).

Then when I got back I stayed a few days crawled up in the arms of my love having a Dexter marathon, and working here and there.

That leads me to here :). I felt I was abandoning you all... So just a quick check in, photo's and more precise stories will come later :).

xoxo

ps. Dexter is the BEST series ever (together with Sex and the City, and Friends)
pps. Michael C. Hall (Dexter) is sexayyyyy!
