I moved out!

Yes, the time was there. Yesterday evening my dad drove me and my bike to Utrecht (one of the biggest citys in Holland), to my new room. I rent a room in an appartment which is owned by a 26 year old girl, which is cosy. We get along good so far! I also live 5min from Ikea, which is ideal for a decoration nerd like me (I was there today, alone - so proud- and nearly had a heart attack from not being able to decide what to take home).

I also cooked my own dinner for the first time (so proud, times 2). Wasn't the first time I cooked dinner, but it was the first time I cooked just for ME. With MY OWN GROCERIES. Which I BOUGHT. With MY MONEY. That I WORKED FOR.

You see, I need capitals to express myself, so I am proud.

I made Babi Ketjap btw. And I learned to never trust pictures of meals that you will make, when you buy the box with herbs and stuff. Its another level of photoshop I promise you. Ofcourse I made way to much food (did you really think I could finish that plate?), so the freezer is stuffed with enough Babi Ketjap to feed an entire country.

As you see my room is mostly white, which I like a LOT. But I do wish I could put some pictures up, which I think I cant. I'm totally eyeing some on Etsy. (If you don't know Etsy you don't know what happiness is)

Time for some pictures

So, These are actually outdated again. But still I want to post a little bit the coziness that has been my room the past weeks (when the rains is crashing on my window).


Remember the colour it used to be? Yep, green. I thought after two years, that grey would better suit my room :)



Right now my room is a mess again, and the messageboard on the right is gone. In that spot is now my bookshelf (which I must say, is gorgeous).

Still it's a nice inspiration to see your room all clean :)

BTW, I've been thinking about changing my layout, the background, it might be time for something else.

BTW 2, I feel really good. I'm not sure why exactly but I feel confident, happy,loved, calm and powerful :) I hope this is my final mood, for the rest of my life, ha.

There's a floor actually! As you can see, I'm a bookaholic, and I'm waiting to go and buy a book shelf. I can't store them anymore!


My bed, usually containing my laptop. You can see above a picture of me and my sister Amber, and me and my boyfriend a year ago :) The trophee is not a real one, but I got that one after people thought I had a fenomenal match (i'm a hockey goalie)


This is my desk. Here the biggest cleaning and organising took place. On the left I have my plate with candles, and behind that a basket with my favorite magazines. On top of that is a basket with my wool for knitting. The blue boxes are new, I bought them to organize my jewellery and it works!! To the far right you see the corner of a black box, that contains my winter clothes. On top of that is a blanket which aunt Nellie made! (I use it in winter!! It's my favorite!)


This is the way I store my boots, ha. Under my desk. The left ones still need to be fixed.


In this cabinet I store my other shoes (or at least most of them). On top of the cabinet are my hats. With on the left a Katherine Duck-hat I got when I was three.. haha! It used to made a sound when you would squeeze the beak.


As I said.. I need a book shelf..


This is a cabinet where I keep my make-up, hair stuff, perfumes, sunglasses, everything that needs to be stored. And a lot of school suplies too.


This is my door, with a poster of Mika, one of my favorite artists. It's been there for three years now, I think. Maybe two. I'm looking to change it, and make my door a moodboard, with pictures of things I want to achieve. There's also a quote on my door, it says: If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

I always love a little insight into somebody's life, so I hope you liked mine. Was it like you'd expected?
