This outfit is somewhat inspired by Louise Roe, fashion journalist, known from The City and MTV's Plain Jane. She has the craziest heels and dresses. Made me feel like colourblocking.

What I wore for Queen's day..

April 30 is our celebration of Queen's day. Very lovely, with flags and happy people, and our royals going to towns and playing games and such. Nice, nice.

Our official colour is Orange. But I hate that colour, so I don't own anything in it. I decided to wear our other colours, from our flag, red, white and blue! Casual but nice I'd say.

I figured it'd be time for an outfit post, since I just bought this toocoolforschool jumpsuit at H&M!

I never thought it'd look good on me, but guess what, I went out of the comfort zone to try, and I love it! I have hardly taken it off since! (sad news for the boyfriend)

It makes me feel very Marlene Dietrich!

It's been some time since I wore this (now it's too cold). But when I stumbled upon these pictures on my camera I fell in love with this outfit and.... my legs.

I've HATED my legs for the past few years, feeling -like every girl-, they are too big. My jaw dropped when I saw this pictures, and I now have new respect for my leggies.

New outfit of the day

I am a SUCKER for anything that remotely looks like it's been stolen from the fourties or fifties. Anything that is so ladylike it's bananas. And I am a lover of H&M. We have a longlasting affair, that's hardly secret anymore. I think my boyfriend knows... but he seems to approve. Or at least laugh at me everytime I mention my lover.

So when I came across this dress.. I almost said 'O jolly!' (Isn't that what they said in the fifties?) The polkadots, the shape, the comfort. I'm in luuuuuve.

Outfit of the day

This is the lover-blazer I gushed about a few posts ago. Isn't it love? You can't quite tell but I'm wearing the soft pink flower-hairband too. The picture is a little bit too bright for two reasons: I'm in bright light, next to my window. And two is that I'm wearing a simple white slightly oversized tee that reflects all that light right into the camera. I'm not a camera nerd, so I wouldn't know how to fix that at all. Plus my batteries were running low. I'm such a geek, ha.

You know that there is not a thing about this outfit I don't love? It's so comfy too! Except for the shoes. You know how every girl has that one pair of shoes they are mad about, but they just are hell to walk in? Well, these are mine. I looooove the design. The glitter, the high heel, it's sexy, fresh, but classy enough. But I just can't walk in it. It's not the height of the heel. I can manage that. It's just.. they don't seem to shape to my feet. They won't stay on my feet.

They were cheap. It's a good explanation. But still, I wish I could wear them. And untill then, I just dream.

RIP sweet polkadot thights

Unfortunately my tights did not survive my birthday bash (which I guess, stating it like this, is a good thing). Sure was one hell of a party! Loves it.

Red is for passion

I like things that make my body look good, that makes my shapes look round, and the rest look flat. This is one of those outfits. The black makes it simple to wear, and makes you look slimmer. Then the red is just sexy, and because it's tight it makes my bum look as good as J.Lo's. If only it looked that way without the skirt on ;)

A while back but still. I liked to mix the black with a jacket in a bright colour. And I am still in love with my studded high heels, which I can mix perfectly with my waistbelt :)

finally... an outfit!

Sooooooooo... Have I been busy. It feels nice to finally be able to breathe. Yes. It's been that bad. So naturally the first things that had to go off my to-do-list, was my blog. I had school (test week, essays, and portfolio-closing), work, sports, driving lessons, theory lessons, and a boyfriend who wanted to see me.

Now I finally closed my portfolio, and it looks like I'm going to pass this year. Well.. it's actually ALMOST certain. I'm waiting for one more result, and if that one is positive, I've passed. I still have one more project to go, which luckily isn't that intensive. Then I will only still have my assessment, and I'll be on my way to Italy! (How excited am I for that?!!!!)

Nevertheless I did score some outfit pictures for my blog, and this is one of them. I love this jacket insanely. I bought it a year ago in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia. Or I think I did at least, I might have bought it before...

Anyways.. I love the colour so much, it's one of my favorite shades of blue. I decided to keep the rest of the outfit simple, wearing just black and white.

I'll keep posting this week, but for now.. breathe. Eat, and then work (in an hour). So much for relaxing :). Tomorrow all I have planned is watch Holland - Japan, which I'm excited for!!

Honoustly, I got inspired by Carrie Bradshaw. How she manages to wear simple jeans and tops, and then wear extravagant heels under them.. it's inspiring.

These golden heels had been laying in my room, catching my eye all week. So I decided: what the hell, I'll just do it!

Ahoy sailor!

Monday it was amazingly awesome weather. The sun was shining, the tempature went up, and I went on a boat! My aunts boat actually, and we went sailing trough the Biesbosch, a nature filled space in the Netherlands :) It was awesome, I had not enjoyed the weather in such a long time like THAT!

About my outfit, it's my kaftan and short that I recently bought, with my sailor-shoes. I thought it was perfectly sailor-chic!

Feelin' good!

So lately I've started taking up running! With the sun shining and all, it's just pure bliss. I downloaded an mp3 program called start to run. In 27 lessons I should be able to run about 5 km straight. Right now I just finished lesson 2, but I notice that it's still a little below my capability, which is something I'm proud of, haha!

Anyway, I feel so great, running in the sun. I feel healthy, I feel that my body is looking better and better everyday, and I'm so proud that I took this on for myself! And I figured.. while running, I may as well look good ;) So I threw on my training suit from the hockey, it's from adidas, and I love that it's so flattering!

Here's a YAY for working on yourself! YAY!
