Why I've been quiet...

That used to be a plane.. One containing 114 people. Now, it is a field full of airplane pieces, and human pieces (though they've been collected). Only one person lived. A nine year old.

Aboard the plane were some seventy Dutch people, returning from their trip to South Africa. Just 800m before the runway in Tripoli it crashed. Inside were a girl from my hockeyclub (whom I don't know so well) and her boyfriend (a brother from one of my best youthfriends).

Yesterdayevening there was a memorialservice at the hockey. Emotional. The families had come, and it was really busy with people who wanted to show they cared.

The family I knew I had not seen for five years (they had moved away). But seeing them again, in this state.. it was devastating.

I'm often intruiged by plane crashes.. I really am. But now.. to see faces I know having their last frightful minutes... It's horrible.

Also, they were both 26. Young. So young. When old people pass away, you know what has been. When young people pass away, there are only still possibilities of what could have been. It's not natural. It's hard.

Last night made me vallue life so much. That I have a family, friends, and most importantly.. a lover I've got to share a lovely year with already. Especially since it was a couple who died, who maybe wanted children and marriage... it makes me think about how lucky I am.

Life truly IS the greatest gift of all, no matter how much it may suck at times. Tresure it, be grateful.

Watch crazy!

I'm defenitely not a watch-girl. I own only one, and I really rarely wear it. Why? Not sure. I don't really wear bracelets too, I think I just don't like wearing something around my wrists..

But now I've fallen in love with one particular watch! It's the one Whitney and Roxy wear in The City.

Unfortunately, I've read on the internet it's a Rolex watch. Ofcourse... because they are all rich kids in the series.

So I've tried finding exact replica's. But I've not found a pretty one yet.

I have found, however, an afforadble watch that is INSPIRED by it. I'm still doubting to buy it, but I will post it anyways.

Fifty pounds, so around €57.

To buy, or not to buy?

Mika @ HMH

As I mentioned quickly in another post, I went to Mika's concert on friday :)

And what can I say... He is by far the most talented artist I have EVER seen live. He had this bubbliness that is soooooo amazing. I'm defenitely one of his bigger fans, and this was the third time I've seen him live. And everytime the show gets bigger, and his voice gets better.

Besides his AMAZING vocals, he values the show aspect very much. And boy, does the man put on a show! I've been blown away, and have the Mika-butterflies once again!

There's no denying, even if you're not a fan. You MUST have enjoyed yourself friday.

Pictures are by Hans Kreutzer, a professional photographer. The pictures are from muziek.nl. I don't know if I may use them, but I credited him now, so I hope that's fine ;). My camera only produced blurry pictured (it's oooold).

Whitney Port

Currently, the City is one of my favourite shows. I have always looooooved Whitney on the Hills. I loved her style too, romantic florals, and california-dresses. It seems her style has changed a bit in The City, she seems to think: Let's go a bit New York-blogger crazy, wearing crazy outfits all together. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't.

I especially love Whitney's sunglasses, and dresses. Because she usually wears floral-print dresses, and lord knows I'm a SUCKER for floral prints.

Did I mention I love Whitney too because she's so pretty?

And I'm not actually poking the dog in the eye... it just looks like that ;) I'd never do that!!

Charleston inspired; tuesday/wednesday

So it usually takes me a little while to get my pictures on the computer. I photograph them all, but they usually aren't great. I just never seem to find the perfect spot to place my camera (that, and it just isn't so good, a few years old). I seem to have found a few great places where I can shoot now...

Anyways, this is what I wore tuesday and wednesday. I usually shoot a few daysin a row what I wear, and then upload it a few days later. So :)Charleston-inspired!
